FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I have to take exams?

Yes and no. This depends on the chosen education program. If you follow the courses without taking exams, you’ll just receive a certificate of attendance. In order to receive a PGCert in Sports Osteopathy, you’ll have to take and pass one practical exam per year, and have to write an essay on a clinical case. The MSc.Ost. diploma goes with the same assignments, plus a dissertation.

Do I have to make a dissertation?

That depends on the chosen education program. You’ll receive an official PGCert in Sports Osteopathy once you’ve attended all the courses and successfully passed the exams. The unique MSc.Ost. diploma is only granted by Bucks University once you’ve written and defended an additional dissertation.

Are there any entry requirements?

This education is only open for graduated osteopaths, with a DO-title as a minimum. Since the entire education is in English, a B2 level of the English language is expected.

Is it possible to attend a single course?

No. Since this education is part of an official PGCert. and/or MSc.Ost. program, Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) cannot be given for part of a module. Therefore, it is only possible to subscribe year per year.

Am I obliged to finish the education in two years?

No, we find it important that you can do your studies at your own pace. However, Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) cannot be given for part of a module. Therefore, it is only possible to subscribe year per year.
